The IWR6843 is a single-chip 60-GHz to 64-GHz intelligent mmWave sensor integrating processing capability for industrial radar systems.

The Texas Instruments IWR6843 is an integrated single-chip mmWave sensor based on FMCW radar technology, operating in the 60GHz to 64GHz band. It's built using TI’s low-power 45nm RFCMOS process, enabling high integration in a small form factor. The device integrates a PLL, transmitter, receiver, baseband, and ADC. It includes four receive channels and three transmit channels, and supports 6-bit phase shifter for TX beamforming. Featuring an Arm Cortex-R4F-based radio control system and a C674x DSP for advanced signal processing (IWR6843 only). It also has a hardware accelerator for FFT, filtering, and CFAR processing. Target applications include industrial radar systems requiring low power, self-monitoring, and ultra-accurate radar sensing for object detection and safety.
